A 50-year-old man was charged Thursday with fatally stabbing his wife in their San Juan Capistrano home.
Sebastian Garcia Ramirez is charged with murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon. He’s being held on $1 million bail pending arraignment, which was rescheduled for Feb. 7 in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana.
Deputies were sent to the 26000 block of Cedar Grove Court about 10 p.m. Tuesday “after receiving multiple calls of a domestic disturbance,” said Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Ramirez was allegedly holding a knife with blood on it and was taken into custody on site.
Lydia Garcia, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
