The alleged driver in a vandalism spree in which multiple car windows were shattered in Whittier was charged Wednesday with 15 misdemeanor counts.
Christian Brian Pena, 19, of La Habra is set to be arraigned next Wednesday on 10 counts of vandalism, four counts of discharge of a BB device with gross negligence and one count of resisting arrest, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Ten car windows were shattered within a two-hour time frame on Jan. 23. Deputy District Attorney Carlos Oliva said five people were inside four of the cars that were targeted, but no injuries were reported.
Pena could face up to 11 years in jail if convicted as charged, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
No one else has been arrested in connection with the spree.
