A 20-year-old Mission Viejo woman was charged Tuesday with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Aliso Viejo.
Liza Arce is charged with murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon. Arce, who’s being held on $1 million bail, had her arraignment rescheduled Tuesday until Sept. 11 in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies were called to Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills about 12:50 a.m. Saturday after the teen was brought there with multiple stab wounds, according to Carrie Braun, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department.
The victim’s name is listed as Jared G in the criminal complaint. Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials would not release the victim’s name.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Arce is accused of stabbing the boy Friday night near Via San Gabriel and Via Iglesia, Braun said. Arce was arrested Saturday night, she said.
A motive for the attack has not been released.
