An Anaheim man suspected of driving a stolen pickup truck in Fountain Valley who allegedly stabbed the passenger was charged Tuesday with attempted murder and unlawful taking of a vehicle.
Hoang Nam Minh Le was driving a stolen Toyota Tacoma about 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 10800 block of Ellis Avenue when he and the passenger got into a conflict and stabbed him multiple times, said Fountain Valley Police Department Sgt. Donald Farmer.
The victim managed to escape from the pickup truck and was hospitalized but was expected to survive from his wounds, Farmer said.
The victim, whose name and age were not released, was not cooperative with detectives so the motive for the attack is unknown, Farmer said.
The pickup truck was reported stolen in Anaheim and recovered in Fullerton, Farmer said.
Tuesday’s scheduled arraignment for the 32-year-old Le in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana was rescheduled for Nov. 13.
