Attempted murder and other felony charges were filed Tuesday against a 25-year-old man accused with shooting another man in Anaheim.
Andrew Rodriguez Ortiz was also charged with discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling and assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and he faces sentencing enhancement allegations of discharging a firearm causing great bodily injury and inflicting great bodily injury on the victim, according to court records.
Ortiz is accused of shooting a man in his 30s during some sort of a dispute in the 2000 block of East Almont Avenue last Saturday afternoon, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer.
The defendant and victim know each other, Carringer said, but did not elaborate on the relationship nor was it clear what provoked the shooting.
The victim was hospitalized with a non-life0threatening wound, Carringer said.
