A 54-year-old Chino Hills man was charged Tuesday with shooting at a car with a man and two children in it over a dispute over a parking spot in Buena Park.
Police were called about 6 p.m. Sunday to the parking lot at 7640 Beach Blvd., between the Artesia (22) Freeway and La Palma Avenue, regarding the shooting, police said. When officers arrived they arrested Wei Chen, who was in his vehicle, police said.
Chen was accused of shooting two rounds into the car, police said.
According to the criminal complaint, the victims were a man, a girl and a boy.
Chen was charged with a count of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a firearm and discharge of a gun at a car, all felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for attempted premeditated murder, discharge of a gun and personal use of a gun.
Chen was scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 19 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
