A 32-year-old woman accused of killing her boyfriend in Westminster was set to make her first court appearance on a murder charge Thursday.
Ashley Deeanna Charnley is accused of killing the victim about 8 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 13000 block of Goldenwest Street, police said. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Last week, police put out a call for help finding Charnley, who was wanted on a warrant in the fatal stabbing. Charnley was arrested Tuesday and was being held without bail, according to jail records.
Police said the defendant and victim had been in a “dating relationship,” but it was unclear what prompted the stabbing.
Charnley was scheduled to be arraigned in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana sometime Thursday.
