A 44-year-old Paramount man was charged Friday with robbing a massage business in Stanton and sexually assaulting two women.
Thomas Avery Hillman Jr. was charged with two counts of forcible oral copulation, three counts of kidnapping to commit robbery or a sex crime, three counts of assault with a firearm and a count of robbery as well as a count of possession of a firearm by a felon, all felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a firearm.
The criminal complaint alleges three women were victims.
Hillman has conviction for assault with a deadly weapon in Los Angeles County in September 2010 and August 2017 and in Riverside County in May of 2000, according to court records.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just before 3:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 12000 block of Beach Boulevard for an armed robbery, deputies said. Hillman was accused of taking $2,000 in cash and forcing the victims into a private room of the business and forcing them to commit a sex offense on him at gunpoint, deputies said.
Hillman did not enter a plea at his arraignment Friday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. His arraignment was rescheduled for Dec. 5 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
