A 26-year-old man was charged Thursday with raping a woman in a Costa Mesa motel.
Darion Darmaine Williams was charged with single felony counts of forcible oral copulation, rape, assault with the intent to commit a sex offense in a first-degree burglary and robbery. Williams did not enter a plea Thursday at his arraignment in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana, and the hearing was rescheduled for Jan. 12 in the West Justice Center.
Williams is accused of attacking the woman about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Vagabond Inn, 3205 Harbor Blvd., said Greg Risling, a spokesman for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. The defendant and victim did not know each other, he added.
