A 30-year-old man is scheduled to be arraigned next month on murder and other charges for allegedly carrying out a pair of shootings in Inglewood, killing one man and injuring three others.
Daniel Martinez, 30, of Inglewood, was arrested Aug. 23 in connection with the shootings, one of which occurred that day and another of which occurred Aug. 20.
He is set to be arraigned Sept. 10 in Inglewood on one count each of murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling or motor vehicle and possession of an assault weapon, along with three counts of attempted murder.
Martinez is being held in lieu of $6.04 million bail.
He is accused of opening fire around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 20 on three men who were standing on a sidewalk in the 900 block of West Beach Avenue. All three were struck by gunfire and taken to a hospital, police said. One of the victims, 27-year-old Alhmo Davis, was pronounced dead at the hospital, but the other two men suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Martinez is also charged with the Aug. 23 shooting of a man who was shot in the head while driving near Hyde Park and West boulevards. The man crashed after being shot, but survived.
