Two brothers were charged Friday with sexually assaulting a boy they roomed with in a Santa Ana house, starting when the alleged victim was 8 years old, police said.
Pedro Elmer Campos, 30, and Victor Daniel Campos, 27, both made their first appearances in court on Friday when their arraignment was rescheduled for April 12 in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana.
Pedro Campos was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years or younger and two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger, all felonies.
Victor Campos was charged with sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years or younger, two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger and a count of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies.
The two started victimizing the boy when he was 8 in December of 2008 and it continued through 2011, according to the criminal complaint.
The alleged victim stepped forward to police this week, Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.
The Campos brothers were roommates of the victim, but not related to him, Bertagna said.
