A 23-year-old Tustin woman on probation was charged Monday with attempted murder stemming from an attack on two women and a man at a laundry business.

Camila Cynthia Machorro, 23, was charged with three counts of attempted murder and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, all felonies, and faces sentencing enhancements for attempted premeditated murder and inflicting great bodily injury on the victims. She was also charged with a misdemeanor count of petty theft.

Callers reported about 7 p.m. Thursday that a stabbing occurred near the business in the 14000 block of Red Hill Avenue, according to Tustin police Lt. Brian Greene.

“When officers arrived, they found the female suspect in the middle of the street and she was taken into custody without incident,” Greene said. “A knife was recovered in close proximity to the suspect.”

The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries to the neck and head, Green said.

“The victims were treated at the scene by Orange County Fire Authority (personnel) and transported to local area hospitals,” Greene said, adding that there appeared to be no obvious relationship between the victims and suspect.

“The motive for the attack is unknown,” Green said. “There are no outstanding suspects and no danger to the community.”

Machorro pleaded guilty in August 2016 to breaking into a 1980 Ford Mustang to steal something and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, according to court records.

Anyone with information about the stabbings or the suspect was urged to call (714) 573-3246 to speak with Detective Haug or (714) 573-3220 to speak with the watch commander.
