A 45-year-old convicted robber made his first court appearance Wednesday on charges of raping two women in Anaheim.
Kevin Eugene Stancius was charged with forcibly raping a woman on July 28, 2022, and raping an unconscious person on Jan. 7, 2023, according to the criminal complaint.
Stancius did not enter a plea at his arraignment Wednesday in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana. The hearing was rescheduled for May 31 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
Stancius was ordered held on $1 million bail, according to court records.
Stancius was convicted of robbery Nov. 30, 2000, in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to the complaint.
Further details on the alleged rapes were not immediately available from police.
